The construction of the Cosmos hotel has been a significant project, involving the partnership of construction company "Center SDK", Corporation "Tourism.RF", Cosmos Hotel Group (part of AFK "Systema"), and UK "Center" (part of the "RIK" group). Aisen Nikolaev, the head of Yakutia, inspected the construction site on July 26, 2022.

Yakutsk, located in a severe permafrost zone, poses unique challenges for construction projects. The extreme cold and soil conditions necessitate special architectural and engineering solutions. As a result, construction delays are common, and the Cosmos hotel is no exception. The project, initially expected to be completed by 2026, has been revised to a new deadline of the end of 2027, as ordered by Aisen Nikolaev.

Archaeological excavations at the construction site may have caused delays, a common occurrence in the historical center of the city. Despite these challenges, the Cosmos hotel is progressing, with 147 out of 365 piles installed as of July 26.

The Cosmos hotel will offer various categories of rooms, including "Standard", "Junior Suite", and "Luxury". The complex will also include a business center, restaurant, lobby bar, fitness center, relaxation zone with a sauna, conference area, and other necessary facilities for a comfortable stay.

Located on Chernyshevsky Street, the Cosmos hotel is a significant addition to Yakutsk's skyline. The building will have either 12 or 13 floors, with 148 to 150 rooms. The hotel's architectural design combines traditional local motifs with modern construction methods adapted for extreme cold, featuring steel frames and thermal insulation.
