Alila Shanghai: First Urban Resort Opens in Greater China
Alila Shanghai, the first urban resort in Greater China by Alila Hotels & Resorts, has opened its doors in the heart of the city. The resort, located in a redesigned former Four Seasons skyscraper, offers a unique blend of modern luxury and traditional Chinese charm.
The resort's culinary scene is helmed by Executive Chef Scott Bao, who sources ingredients from the rooftop organic garden and local producers. Diners can enjoy a variety of cuisines, from Shanghainese dishes to Japanese BBQ at the courtyard restaurant. The rooftop bar offers stunning views over Zhangyuan, while the tea house provides a serene space for relaxation.
Alila Shanghai boasts a range of amenities, including a spa that offers organic, plant-based treatments. Guests can unwind in the hydrotherapy pool or the Turkish bath. The resort also features 186 rooms to go, with guest rooms located from the 12th to 17th and 27th to 39th floors. The top floor houses a luxurious 2,626 sqft penthouse suite.
Rates at Alila Shanghai start from RMB2,200. The resort's unique design, inspired by Song Dynasty landscape portraits, and its commitment to sustainability and local culture make it a standout destination in Shanghai.
