Yo!

The blokes from the iconic band Duran Duran ("Wild Boys," "Hungry Like The Wolf") can't contain their excitement for their upcoming concerts in Düsseldorf (June 24, 2025) and Berlin (June 27, 2025). It's not just about reconnecting with Germany's enthusiastic audience; these culture connoisseurs are eager to delve into the country's rich history and museums. Bassist John Taylor, in a chat with the German Press Agency in London, confirmed, "Duran Duran are as obsessed with culture as they are with music."

Germany Welcome Back After a Decade-Long Hiatus

As part of their European tour, Duran Duran is making a much-anticipated return to Germany, after an absence of 13 years. "It feels like ages," said the jovial 64-year-old Taylor. "We've missed the German crowds. But we're back, and things are gonna rock!" Their last Germany performance was in January 2012.

While Duran Duran is making their debut in Düsseldorf, Taylor admitted it's "a tad surprising" that they haven't performed there before, given the city's rich cultural heritage spanning the last half-century. "I'm genuinely stoked about making our Düsseldorf debut. And, of course, Berlin!"

A Symphony of Hits and Fresh Tunes

Since Duran Duran's last Germany performance, they've released three studio albums. Anticipating their shows, they plan to perform timeless hits like "Girls On Film," "A View To A Kill," and "Notorious," as well as some new anthems to add to the mix. "We're here to prove we're still the real deal," Taylor quipped. "And trust us, even the tunes you may have missed before sound awesome live."

Road Warriors With a Passion for Art

While the road can be challenging, Duran Duran still thrives on touring, more so than ever. "We've found our own rhythm," Taylor shared. "The vibe within the band is fantastic, and there's an underlying sense of gratitude—an appreciation of the privilege we have to do what we love."

In their downtime, the band plans more than just hangouts and practice sessions. Art appreciation and museum visits are integral parts of their itinerary. "We've always got two things on our minds: planning the show and the tunes we'll perform—and the museums we'll visit and the art we want to study," said Taylor.

John Taylor, the 64-year-old bassist, revealed his museum bucket list for their 2025 Germany tour. "I can't wait to check out the Brücke Museum in Berlin."
