Baden-Württemberg Hosts EU Summit to Push for Single Market Simplification
The Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg, alongside several unnamed partner organizations, is hosting the Economic Summit Baden-Württemberg - EU 2025 on October 1 and 2, 2025, in Brussels. The event aims to provide 'New Realities: Impulses for Europe's Competitiveness'.
Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, the Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism, has expressed the need for the EU to simplify the single market and accelerate strategic projects. She has also announced an initiative for a stronger practical dialogue between EU institutions and companies in Baden-Württemberg.
The summit, which brings together high-ranking representatives from politics, business, and associations, will debate the need for tangible relief in the single market, clear rules for fair competition, better framework conditions for innovation, and technological sovereignty. The Ministry of Economic Affairs will present a position paper bundling central demands in five chapters, including relief for small and medium-sized enterprises, Europe's ability to act in the global environment, and an innovation-friendly industrial policy.
The Economic Summit Baden-Württemberg - EU 2025, organized with central partner organizations of the economy, seeks to provide concrete impulses for the economic future of the European Union. The two-day program includes three main summit stages, a pre-event, and several interactive summit talks with high-ranking guests from EU institutions, business, and society.
