From January 1st to mid-June, those Yanks pulled off over 260,000 arrivals and clocked nearly 690,000 overnight stays. That's a whopping 16% increase in arrivals and 17% more overnight stays compared to the same time frame last year. The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) dropped this knowledge bomb!

Kristjan Staničić, HTZ's director, had this to say about it: "It's a total game-changer for Croatian tourism that we, as a destination, have cracked the code on America, hey! It shows that the American market still has a rip-roaring interest in Croatian destinations. To solidify our status, we've gotta focus on beefing up transport connections with the States, with direct flights being the cherry on top. But that's not all - promotional activities and strategic cooperation with our partners there will keep Croatia high on their travel bucket list."
What's more, Bernard Zenzerović, director of the Association of Employers in Croatian Hospitality, weighed in on the super-staying, cash-totin' guests from the States. "Those Yanks are some top-tier clientele! They tend to drop a few grand when they travel, and that says big bucks for the local economy!"

Now, Ivan Rukavina, CEO of Uniline, took a more cautious approach when sizing up the potential 2025 American tourist influx. As he put it, "Truth is, we can't say for certain what's gonna happen to travelers who decide to hit the road at the last minute. But we've been keepin' our fingers crossed, 'cause there's a fair chunk of bookings and payments already lined up, even with ol' Trump's bizarre tariffs in play."
