Budget Airline Extends Affordable Travel Options with Additional Economical Flight Routes to Florida

Allegiant Air has announced an exciting expansion for 2025, introducing five new nonstop routes across eight cities. The airline's strategy focuses on connecting smaller U.S. cities with popular Florida vacation destinations.

The new routes include:

  1. Huntsville, Alabama (HSV) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Florida (FLL) - Launching Nov 19, 2025
  2. Huntsville, Alabama (HSV) to St. Pete-Clearwater, Florida (PIE) - Launching Mar 5, 2026
  3. Huntsville, Alabama (HSV) to Orlando Sanford, Florida (SFB) - Launching Feb 12, 2026
  4. Appleton, Wisconsin (ATW) to Orlando, Florida (MCO) - Launching Jan 16, 2026
  5. Rochester, New York (ROC) to Sarasota Bradenton, Florida (SRQ) - Launching Feb 13, 2026

To celebrate the rollout of these new routes, Allegiant is offering introductory fares starting as low as $39 one-way. This pricing aims to attract travelers to try the new service and highlights Allegiant's commitment to affordable, leisure travel.

In addition to Huntsville, Allegiant is also introducing a new non-Florida link between Gulf Shores, Alabama (GUF) and Nashville, Tennessee (BNA).

The expansion makes spontaneous travel easier and cheaper for travelers from the Midwest or Mid-Atlantic, with Allegiant's expanded Florida footprint offering nonstop access to sunny destinations, meaning less time at the airport and more time on vacation.

Allegiant's point-to-point model ensures shorter airport times and fewer layovers, and travelers can maximize their budget by checking the airline's site for bundled fares or car rental offers.

The network expansion follows Allegiant's historic rollout of 44 new routes in late 2024, broadening its reach in popular vacation destinations. Other new routes include service between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Fort Wayne, Indiana (FWA).

Flights from Fort Myers (RSW) will be available to Des Moines, Iowa (DSM), Appleton, Wisconsin (ATW), and Allentown, Pennsylvania (ABE) starting in November. Florida-based travelers now have affordable, direct options to key fly-in vacation hubs beyond the usual hotspots.

However, it's important to note that Allegiant charges for optional extras like carry-on fees, seat upgrades, and food and drinks, and also charges $5 for printing a boarding pass at the airport. The airline is ending its service in some cities, including San Antonio.

Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, stated that the expansion reflects a commitment to connecting underserved communities with affordable, convenient travel options.

Allegiant is also offering one-way fares to its new Florida destinations for as low as $49 to celebrate the rollout. The airline is also expanding its network with 7 new nonstop routes, providing more opportunities for affordable travel across the U.S.

Travelers from midwestern and mid-atlantic cities can now enjoy budget-travel to various Florida destinations, as Allegiant Air introduces new routes from Huntsville, Alabama, Appleton, Wisconsin, and Rochester, New York. These affordable flights will offer a lifestyle of leisure travel, with pricing as low as $49, making spontaneous travel easier and cheaper.
