Durga Puja 2025: Global Celebrations from Bengaluru to Berlin

Durga Puja, the grandest festival of Bengalis, is being celebrated with great fervor across major cities in India and even in Berlin, Germany. This year, communities are pulling out all stops to offer immersive and culturally rich experiences.

In Bengaluru, the Bengalee Association in Ulsoor is marking 75 years of cultural heritage with an authentic Durga Puja celebration. Meanwhile, the East Indian Social HSR Association blends traditional East Indian celebrations with contemporary elements, creating a unique festive atmosphere.

In Mumbai, the Bengal Club at Shivaji Park spans a vast 2.5 acres, bringing a slice of Bengal to the city. The Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti in Juhu, one of the oldest and most celebrated festivals, attracts a star-studded audience. The Bombay Durgabari Samiti, marking its 94th year, preserves traditional rituals and draws steady visitors.

Delhi, known for its vibrant Durga Puja celebrations, sees Chittaranjan Park, or 'Mini Bengal', hosting themed pandals and cultural performances. The Arambagh Durga Puja Samity celebrates its 37th year, blending tradition with purpose. The Minto Road Puja Samity is renowned for its thought-provoking, themed pandals.

Across the globe, Berlin will join the celebrations in 2025 at the Sri-Ganesha-Hindu-Tempel from September 27 to October 2. Other German cities like Düsseldorf and Ratingen also host related events.
