Europa-Park invests more than 70 million euros in constructing a Western-themed town - Europe-Park Constructing Westernstadt at a Cost of Over 70 Million

Europa-Park in South Baden has inaugurated a new Western-themed area dubbed Silver Lake City, after investing over €70 million. The broad expansion of the former Camp Resort commenced with the opening on 30th May 2025. Silver Lake City offers an immersive Wild West experience, complete with new lodging, dining facilities, and entertainment options [1][3].

Roland Mack, the park's CEO, expressed excitement about the venture, considering it a significant stride for the park. "This is a new themed area," Mack told the German Press Agency. He further revealed that the area has existed informally for some time, with guests able to stay in log cabins and campsites. The camping area initially started out small, according to Mack.

The expansion includes the creation of a large Western-style restaurant and bar. A hotel with over 100 rooms, named the Riverside Western Lodge, is planned for next year. A brewery is also in development. Mack expressed optimism, stating, "We're not done yet."

The park is expected to benefit from the western trend with this new themed area. Mack emphasized that "nothing is more emotional than the Western theme." In addition to daytime activities, the Western area will offer evening entertainment, walks, and cycling opportunities.

Thomas Mack, the managing partner, highlighted the growing demand for luxury camping. Given the existing hotels and roller coasters, Europa-Park now has a diversified offering catering to this trend. The Western area is primarily designed for families, featuring a minigolf course and playgrounds.

Until now, Europa-Park has emphasized European-themed areas like France, Italy, Spain, and others. However, Monaco will make its debut next year, becoming the 18th country represented in Rust. "Our red thread remains Europe," said Roland Mack.

The park, founded in 1975, receives over six million visitors annually, and this year marks its 50th anniversary. A jubilee gala is planned for 11th July. Mack expressed confidence in the park's performance throughout the upcoming anniversary season and in the expansion's impact on the hotels on the site.

EC countries might explore the possibility of strengthening their vocational training programs, considering the success of the Western-themed area, Silver Lake City, at Europa-Park. This theme-park expansion, which caters to families with a minigolf course and playgrounds, has sparked an interest in outdoor-living and home-and-garden lifestyle. With the growing demand for luxury camping and the advent of travel to EC countries, visitors may seek opportunities for vocational training in hospitality, outdoor recreation, or even brewery management – skills that could be useful in Silver Lake City or similar attractions.
