Wi-Fi Battles in the Skies: EVA Air's Inflight Upgrade vs Starlux's Pitch
EVA Airways Intends to Enhance In-Flight Internet Connectivity
Get ready to stay connected as you soar! EVA Air is giving its inflight Wi-Fi a major overhaul starting July 2025, and Starlux Airlines is gearing up for their California debut!
First off, EVA Air's inflight Wi-Fi upgrade has two exciting phases:1. Summer Wi-Fi Fiesta (July 1 to September 30, 2025): During this period, all passengers, regardless of cabin class or loyalty program membership, can enjoy free unlimited web browsing on select aircraft such as the Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787, and Airbus A330-300.[1][2][3]
- Permanent Party (Effective October 1, 2025): After the promotion, access will be available to Business Class passengers and "Infinity MileageLands" members. This includes Diamond and Gold members in premium economy, while Silver and non-elite members in economy will get unlimited free text messaging, but no video streaming or voice calls.[2][5]
Now, let's talk about Starlux Airlines who are taking off to Ontario, California, on July 2, 2025! They're bringing former Los Angeles Dodgers player Kuo Hong-chih (郭泓志) along for the ride as their ambassador for the route.[4]
Kuo was thrilled to learn about the new flight route and shared the perks of Ontario International Airport, like efficient customs clearance and convenient transportation. Seems like we'll be flying high, indeed![4]
