Celebrating Diversity: One World Day Returns to Cleveland's Cultural Gardens

Get ready for a vibrant and culturally rich day out as the 79th annual One World Day returns to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens on Sunday, August 24, 2025. This free-to-attend event, running from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, promises a fascinating exploration of Northeast Ohio's rich cultural tapestry.

The day's proceedings will kick off with a heartwarming Naturalization Ceremony for new U.S. citizens, followed by the Parade of Flags, a colourful celebration of the diversity of cultures represented in the Gardens.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy cultural performances from around the world, showcasing the talents of various communities that call Northeast Ohio home. The event will also feature authentic ethnic food stalls, giving you a chance to savour global cuisines in a family-friendly, outdoor setting.

For those seeking an educational experience, the Passport to Peace program offers a fun and interactive way to learn about different countries and cultures by engaging with members of the Garden communities. The Children’s Village, another highlight of the event, features multicultural games and educational activities designed to engage children.

The event will span across the entire Cleveland Cultural Gardens area, including the Slovenian Cultural Garden, known for its lush landscaping and symbolic architecture dedicated to historic cultural figures. With around 33 different Cultural Gardens representing distinct cultural or nationality groups within Northeast Ohio, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore and learn about the region's diverse heritage.
