Guidelines for Travel during Carnival Celebrations

Neuss, Germany: The Neuss Carnival commences on Weiberfastnacht, February 27, 2025, under the motto "Neussers Celebrate in All Ways - 55 Years of Confetti Rain." Anticipate street closures in the Neuss city center during carnival activities, as in previous years. The carnival fair, organized by the Neuss Carnival Committee, will take place on the market from Thursday to Sunday, from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Rose Monday Parade on March 2, 2025, will once more traverse Oberstraße and Augustinusstraße, between Zollstraße and Stresemannallee (from the Kreishaus to the Stadthalle). Residents in Mühlenstraße, Oberstraße, Windmühlenstraße, and Am Stadtarchiv should prepare for traffic restrictions. The parade will initiate at 1:11 pm, proceeding along Zollstraße, Friedrichstraße, Breite Straße, Drususallee ("Theaterstraße") to Benno-Nußbaum-Platz, then over Erftstraße, Büttger Straße, Kapitelstraße, Krefelder Straße, Nieder- and Buchel to Oberstraße. The parade will disperse at the height of Stadthalle's parking lot exit, leaving the intersection of Stresemannallee / Augustinusstraße open.

Starting from 11 am on Rose Monday, car access to significant parts of the Neuss city center will be restricted. All parade routes and affected street sections will display no-parking signs. Cars parked illegally will be towed. The closure of Oberstraße will persist until the parade's dissolution around 4 pm. This also applies to the exit of Hessenstraße onto Oberstraße. Access to the "Niedertor" parking garage may be temporarily restricted due to closures during the Rose Monday parade.
