The Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V. (ADAC) anticipates potential traffic congestion during the Ascension Day and Pentecost holidays in the Free State of Saxony. While the traffic on long-distance routes is expected to flow relatively smoothly, the ADAC warns about a notable bottleneck along the A4 (Görlitz-Eisenach) motorway between Dresden Old Town and the Nossen interchange.
Construction works on this specific bottleneck will continue until the end of the year, though the completion of construction works in Wilsdruff prior to Ascension Day will make the bypass between Nossen and Wilsdruff more accessible.
ADAC advises that these holiday weekends, popular for travel to Saxony's tourist regions, may put additional strain on the roads and bridges, causing inconveniences and increased travel times.
