In Almaty's Turksib district, a generous construction has been completed for a substantial family.

In the heart of Almaty, the Turksib district is undergoing a significant transformation. The local authorities are working tirelessly to expand the gas infrastructure, connecting more private residences to the main pipeline and improving access to natural gas for heating and cooking.

However, the process isn't without its challenges. A significant number of unregistered or incomplete houses pose a problem. Without proper documentation or clear legal status, these properties complicate the formal connection process. Safety and regulatory concerns prevent these homes from being legally tied to the main gas pipeline. Moreover, incomplete construction means that some houses may not yet have the necessary internal installations or meet safety standards for gas connection.

As a result, the authorities prioritise connecting fully registered and completed houses first, encouraging residents of unregistered or incomplete buildings to complete proper registration and construction. This approach ensures compliance with safety regulations and helps avoid potential risks associated with illegal or unsafe gas installations.

Amidst these efforts, a large family in the district has been provided with a new, warm, and spacious home. The family, who previously relied on coal and firewood for heating during the winter season, will now celebrate the upcoming holidays in their new home, free from the daily chore of chopping wood and lighting the stove multiple times a day.

The family's plight was first brought to light by the microdistrict elders, who recognised the family's difficult situation - the mother and sons being disabled and lacking basic amenities like gas and water. Dolkuntai Aubaхriev, the chairman of the microdistrict elders, expressed a desire to help, and local businesses and caring Almaty residents stepped in to assist.

One such individual is Baken Zhadyrasyn, a resident of the Turksib district who has been helping the district since 2016. This time, he took the lead in providing the Ushaliyev family's new home with a free gas connection, a gesture that has brought immense joy to the family's mother.

This act of kindness is part of a larger initiative in the Turksib district. A total of 918 houses with stove heating have been registered this year, and half of these have been connected to blue fuel. In the Nurshakhan microdistrict alone, investors provided assistance to 14 other needy families, connecting their homes to blue fuel for free.

The article was written by Aidana Nurash and Murat Tailyanov for Almaty TV channel. The work on gasifying private houses in the Turksib district continues, and the authorities remain committed to improving the living conditions of all residents.

  1. The family's new home offers a significant improvement in their lifestyle, no longer relying on coal and firewood for heating, embracing the modern amenity of natural gas.
  2. In the Turksib district, the transformation goes beyond gas infrastructure, extending to fashion-and-beauty, food-and-drink, home-and-garden, relationships, pets, cars, and shopping, as local businesses and caring residents show support for the community.
  3. With the completed connection of 918 houses to blue fuel this year, the district's residents are experiencing a shift in their daily routines, freeing them from the tasks of chopping wood and lighting stoves multiple times a day.
  4. As the district invests in enhancing homes with the convenience of gas connections, the fashion-and-beauty, food-and-drink, and home-and-garden sectors are likely to grow, bringing new trends and experiences to the district's residents.
  5. Despite the challenges faced during the transformation, the district authorities remain determined to build strong relationships within the community, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents, their families, and pets by providing access to improvements like new homes and gas connections.
