Park University to Host Annual International Festival on November 22, 2024

Prepare for a cultural extravaganza as Park University gears up to host its annual International Festival on November 22, 2024. This event, scheduled to take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on the Parkville Campus, promises to be a vibrant celebration of diversity and global unity.

The International Festival will offer a unique opportunity to learn about various cultures and traditions, with each country showcasing unique and diverse characteristics of their homeland. Students from the University's International Center for Music will also perform, adding a melodious touch to the event.

For those interested in exploring the rich tapestry of global cuisine, an international buffet will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m., featuring foods from each continent. The price for the public is set at $16, while Park students and employees on a meal plan can enjoy the buffet free of charge with their Park ID.

The festival will also provide a platform for cultural exchange and understanding, with Park international students representing their native countries. With over 500 students from 70 countries, Park University boasts a richly diverse student body, and the International Festival will offer an opportunity to appreciate this diversity.

Information booths and cultural activities will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Mabee Learning Center/Academic Underground. At 7:30 p.m., the event will move to Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel for a fashion show and cultural performances. The International Education Week event at Park University is hosted by the Office of International Education.

Please note that the list of countries represented at the International Festival may change after October 28. As of this date, the festival will feature countries from the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe.

Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.
