Delta Air Lines Reveals Top Summer Travel Destinations for 2025
Delta Air Lines has unveiled its analysis of the most popular travel destinations for the summer of 2025. The global airline's extensive route network, covering over 300 destinations on six continents, has provided valuable insights into the top choices for US travellers.
According to the analysis, the most sought-after domestic flights destinations for the summer of 2025 include New York City, Atlanta, Orlando, Las Vegas, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, Minneapolis, Detroit, and Honolulu. Notably, cities that serve as important hubs in the Delta network dominate this list.
The trend indicates an increasing openness and attractiveness of Asian travel destinations for the US market. However, the top 3 international summer flights destinations for 2025, outside Asia and North America, are located in Europe and partly Eurasia. Turkey ranks first for short and mid-haul luxury travel, followed by Spain and Greece.
London tops the list as the most popular summer flights destination for 2025, maintaining a consistent popularity among US travelers. Paris shows a significant 16% increase in search queries compared to last year, landing in second place. Rome maintains the third rank in the list, demonstrating its enduring appeal.
A newcomer to the list is Lisbon, which makes it into the top 10 summer flights destinations for 2025 for the first time. With a 6.5% increase in search queries, Lisbon's growing interest as a travel destination is evident. This displaces Vancouver from the list, marking a shift in traveller preferences.
Tokyo improves from seventh to sixth place in the popularity rankings, with an impressive 54% increase in search queries. Cancun, a perennial favourite, retains its position in the top 10, while Amsterdam and Dublin also feature prominently. The top 10 summer flights destinations for 2025, in order, are London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Dublin, Cancun, Orlando, New York City, Tokyo, and Lisbon.
