Karnataka's October 2025: Packed Calendar of Festivals & Holidays

Karnataka residents and students are gearing up for a packed calendar of festivals and holidays in October 2025. The month kicks off with Dussehra, followed by a string of celebrations and a 17-day break for students.

Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, will be celebrated on October 2, 2025, along with Gandhi Jayanti and Maha Navami (Ayudha Puja) on October 1, 2025. Schools in Karnataka will enjoy a 17-day holiday from federal holidays 2025 September 20 to October 6, 2025, inclusive.

The festive season continues with Naraka Chaturdashi on October 20, 2025, and Balipadyami/Deepavali on October 22, 2025. Students will also celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti on October 7, 2025, marking the end of their holidays and the resumption of regular classes.

October 2025 brings a wealth of holidays and festivals for Karnataka residents, including Dussehra, Gandhi Jayanti, Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, Naraka Chaturdashi, and Diwali. Additionally, regions like Bangalore, Mysore, and Mangalore will observe a local holiday for Tula Sankramana on October 18, 2025.
