Kazakhstan's 'Taza Qazaqstan' Initiative Engages Youth in Massive Environmental Relay
A new initiative, 'Taza Qazaqstan', has sparked in Kazakhstan. Led by Askar Zhumagaliyev, this project aims to instil environmental care as a way of life among young people. The initiative, backed by parliamentarians, engaged thousands of youth in a week-long relay, collecting and recycling waste, and improving sacred monuments in the area.
The Taza Qazaqstan relay involved 3,000 young people who collected a staggering 150 tons of trash in just a week. They also participated in daily workouts led by world champion athletes and eco-activity concerts. The initiative, which intertwines nature, history, and civic responsibility, saw participants clean and improve sacred monuments as part of the 'Vandalizmgе jol joq!' action.
Meetings were held with youth in rural areas to discuss personal responsibility and environmental issues. A local resident proposed reviving a rental housing program with the right to buy in rural areas to retain talent and develop agriculture. All collected waste was sorted and sent for recycling, demonstrating the project's commitment to sustainability.
The Taza Qazaqstan initiative, supported by Deputy Murat Abenov, has shown promising results. It has engaged youth, addressed environmental concerns, and sparked innovative ideas for rural development. With the commitment to bring the proposal to the government level, 'Taza Qazaqstan' is poised to make a significant impact on Kazakhstan's environmental landscape.
