Kenangan Coffee Brings Indonesian Coffee Culture to Singapore

Indonesian grab-and-go coffee chain Kenangan Coffee has made its debut in Singapore, marking its first international expansion. The company, which achieved unicorn status in 2021, aims to spread Indonesia's rich coffee culture globally, starting with Southeast Asia.

Kenangan Coffee offers a diverse menu of espresso-based drinks and non-caffeinated options at affordable prices. Its standout offering, the 'Kenangan Latte', blends espresso with 'Black Aren', a natural sweetener. The company's decision to enter the Singaporean market was influenced by the city-state's deep-rooted coffee culture.

The expansion plan includes Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand before a global expansion step. To prepare for the Singapore launch, Kenangan Coffee established the Kenangan Academy to train baristas for its first international store. The launch event was attended by co-founders Edward Tirtanata and James Prananto. Kenangan Coffee also offers a mobile application, providing membership benefits and priority access to new products.

Kenangan Coffee's expansion into Singapore is a significant step towards its goal of spreading Indonesia's coffee culture globally. With its diverse menu, accessible pricing, and commitment to training, the company is well-positioned to make an impact in the competitive Singaporean coffee market.
