Kuban Governor Unveils Plans to Boost Regional Development and Strengthen Land Use Regulations

Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of Kuban, has outlined plans to boost regional development and strengthen land use regulations. The governor, who recently participated in the 66th plenary session of the ZSK, aims to implement national projects, construct social facilities, and enhance housing and communal services. Kondratyev also proposed Igor Galasy as first deputy head of the region, with the parliamentarians approving the nomination.

Last year, Kuban's investment volume surpassed one trillion rubles, reflecting the region's robust economic growth. This growth is further evident in its industrial development, where Kuban ranked third nationally in 2021. To protect its economic progress, the region has adopted laws safeguarding agricultural lands, industrial lands, and resort coastal zones from re-profiling.

Kondratyev's proposal of Igor Galasy, an experienced financier serving as deputy governor since 2015, underscores the governor's commitment to competent leadership. The nomination process, involving consultations between factions and the regional government, ensures representation of political groupings and shapes regional policy. Following the nomination, parliamentarians confirmed Galasy's appointment through a majority vote.

The region's treasury has seen significant growth, reaching 560 billion rubles this year, a threefold increase compared to a decade ago. This financial strength supports Kuban's ambitious development plans. Meanwhile, parliamentarians have discussed administrative responsibility for violations of land use and construction rules, indicating a focus on enforcement and accountability.

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev's vision for Kuban includes implementing national projects, constructing social facilities, and improving housing and communal services. With a robust economy, strong leadership, and a commitment to land use regulations, Kuban looks set to continue its progress. The region's treasury growth and discussions on administrative responsibility further underscore this commitment to development and accountability.
