It's nearly time for Lufthansa to switch gears from summer to winter flights, and Munich Airport travelers should take note of some upcoming changes. While the new winter schedule might not introduce an array of new destinations, it does present some exciting upgrades for frequent flyers.

Lufthansa's A350-900: Frequent Flyer's Best Friend

With the shift to wintertime on October 26, 2025, Lufthansa will ramp up its A350-900 deployments from Munich. Expect more flights to destinations like New York (JFK and EWR), Chicago, Shanghai, Cape Town, Miami, Tokyo, and Bengaluru in India, which will be served three times a week. Lufthansa plans to have ten Airbus A350-900 aircraft available, ensuring ample seating in all booking classes[1].

A380 Destinations: New Horizons for Munich Airport

Joining the thrilling destinations served by the A350-900, the A380 will make its presence known as well. This winter, San Francisco will be added to the list of A380 destinations, marking a fresh addition for travelers. The A380 will also serve Los Angeles, Bangkok, and Delhi[1][4].
