British visitors ranked second with 4.7 million guests, while around 3 million tourists came from Bulgaria, placing third. Notably, the northern Aegean Sea has gained unprecedented popularity among vacationers, with a marked 40 percent surge in visitors to the region, encompassing destinations like Lesbos, Chios, and Samos.
The tourist industry remains a crucial pillar of the Greek economy, generating around 230 million overnight stays and an overall turnover exceeding 20 billion euros. Guests typically stay for six nights and spend about 523 euros during their visit.

Despite economic concerns and more conscious spending, the desire to travel persists among Germans, ensuring Greece's status as a premier vacation destination.
