Marie Mouroum's career took root at the tender age of nine, when her mother enrolled her in a karate course to improve her self-defense skills. Mouroum quickly developed a fervor for various martial arts, competing internationally and eventually becoming the Junior World Champion in the Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat at the ripe age of 15. Her sporting prowess paved the way for her leap into the world of entertainment, initially as an extra and later as a stuntwoman. In 2012, Mouroum made her mark by double-duty-ing as Halle Berry's stand-in in the film "Cloud Atlas." Since then, she's showcased her daredevil moves in blockbusters like "The Hunger Games," "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker," and "No Time to Die." She even earned gigs as a live-action actress, appearing in films such as "Black Panther," "Avengers: Infinity War," and "Avengers: Endgame." In 2024, she played the lead role in the Netflix production "60 Minutes" alongside Emilio Sakraya.

"I feel incredibly privileged to learn the art of professional dancing from esteemed shows like 'Let's Dance.' I've always adored these talented individuals and quietly fantasized about joining them on the dance floor myself," Mouroum excitedly reveals. "I'm eager for this adventure, aiming to challenge myself, please the audience, and avoid disappointing my trainer." Although her job as a stuntwoman provides her with strength and agility, she's about to prove that she can float gracefully across the dance floor as well.
