Milan unveils plans for debut in November 2025

In a strategic move that underscores the burgeoning potential of Italy's online gambling industry, SiGMA Central Europe has chosen Milan as the permanent location for its largest event. Scheduled to take place in November 2025, the gathering is poised to attract over 30,000 delegates, including more than 1,000 sponsors and exhibitors, and feature 550 expert speakers over four conference stages.

The Fiera di Milano, a sprawling exhibition centre boasting approximately 400,000 square metres of space and three state-of-the-art conference centres, will play host to this premier event. The venue offers 20 large pavilions and 60,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition space, providing ample room for the industry's leaders to showcase their innovations.

The choice of Milan is significant, as the city sits at the epicentre of Italy's emerging digital entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem. This strategic location offers stakeholders a unique opportunity to tap into the innovation and regulatory developments shaping the European iGaming landscape.

Italy's online gambling market is undergoing rapid transformation, with revenue projected to reach €3.78 billion by 2029. This substantial growth trajectory and investment opportunity are not lost on SiGMA, as the event provides a platform to discuss and capitalise on the latest trends, technological innovations, and regulatory shifts. Delegates can explore partnerships and business expansion in a market with significant upward potential.

The event's special offer includes double the booth space at no extra cost, or a free booth at the September 2025 SiGMA Euro-Med event in Malta. This added incentive underscores the event's commitment to fostering growth and collaboration within the industry.

Milan's public transportation system, including five metro lines and an extensive network of buses and trams, ensures easy travel for delegates from neighbouring jurisdictions. Additionally, the city's three international airports—Malpensa, Linate, and Orio al Serio—provide easy accessibility for attendees from around the world. The Fiera di Milano also offers 15,000 parking lots for exhibitors and visitors.

Italy currently generates €12 billion in offline gambling revenue, leaving a substantial portion of the market untouched by online platforms. However, the online gambling market in Italy anticipates an annual growth rate of 5.52% from 2024 to 2029, indicating a promising future for the sector. In 2024, the online casino segment in Italy's gambling market is projected to earn €1.54 billion.

By the end of the forecast period, the online gambling market in Italy is expected to reach €3.78 billion. This aligns with Italy's expanding market size and its role as a nexus for digital growth in Southern Europe.

In summary, the choice of Milan for SiGMA Central Europe 2025 highlights the importance of Italy as a growing hub for online gambling. The large-scale international gathering aims to foster innovation, investment, and market leadership within the flourishing Italian iGaming industry. The event is valid until the end of November 2024, offering a unique opportunity for businesses to tap into the potential of this rapidly evolving market.
