New Registration Method for TSA PreCheck Available at Jackson Airport

In a move to streamline the travel experience, a new pilot program for TSA PreCheck enrollment is being tested at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport from March 17 to March 28, 2022. This innovative approach, run by IDEMIA, an authorised TSA PreCheck enrollment provider, aims to make the enrollment process easier, quicker, and more efficient.

During the pilot phase, passengers at the airport will not need to register online. Instead, enrollment agents and brand ambassadors will be stationed throughout the airport to encourage passengers to enroll and answer any questions they may have. Enrollment locations include pre-security, post-security, and in the gate area, making it convenient for travellers to sign up at their convenience.

The program's simplicity is highlighted by the fact that travelers can enroll in TSA PreCheck in 5 minutes or less without registering online. Most passengers who enroll will receive their Known Traveler Number within 3 to 5 days.

This pilot program is currently limited to Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, but there is hope it may expand to other airports across the U.S. in the future. For those considering enrolling, it's worth noting that The Platinum Card from American Express, The Business Platinum Card from American Express, and Chase Sapphire Reserve cards may reimburse the cost of the enrollment fee via statement credits.

Lisa Sullivan, Senior Vice President for Travel and Transport for IDEMIA I&S North America, expressed her excitement about the program's rollout, stating, "We are thrilled to bring this simplified TSA PreCheck enrollment process to Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport. Our goal is to make travel easier and more efficient for passengers, and we believe this program is a significant step in that direction."

For travellers, this news is significant. TSA PreCheck is an essential tool for efficient travel, allowing eligible passengers to keep on their shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, and light jackets on at airport security checkpoints. This means faster and smoother security screenings, making the travel experience less stressful and more enjoyable.

In addition to the pilot program, a "Hot Tip" is provided for getting through TSA security screenings quicker and easier. Travellers are advised to prepare their carry-on items before arriving at the security checkpoint, ensuring that they are ready to go through the screening process quickly and efficiently.

With this new TSA PreCheck enrollment method, travelling just got a little bit easier for passengers at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport. Whether you're a frequent flyer or an occasional traveller, considering enrolling in TSA PreCheck could make your next trip a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
