Pakistan, Kuwait Strengthen Digital Ties at Historic Conference
A significant conference took place recently, aiming to foster digital innovation, trade, and youth-focused opportunities between Pakistan and Kuwait. This event marked the first dedicated platform to enhance collaboration in information technology and modern technologies between the two nations.
The conference, held over two days, featured panel discussions, keynote speeches, and bilateral meetings. It attracted decision-makers, innovators, and senior business leaders from both countries. The event focused on advanced topics such as AI, blockchain, and digital commerce.
Dr. Hajar Al-Hadawi, Director-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), expressed the organization's commitment to supporting both countries in the digital economy. She introduced the AI-REAL Toolkit, which provides an AI roadmap and actionable recommendations. This toolkit was presented at the AI for Industry and Manufacturing Conference 2025 earlier this year, emphasizing real-world AI and robotics applications in manufacturing, including predictive maintenance and energy management, and scalable AI solutions for SMEs and green industry.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, encouraged companies from both countries to collaborate on technological solutions. Dr. Khaled Al-Zamel, Chairman of Kuwait's CITRA, highlighted Kuwait's leadership in ethical AI and digital transformation, and stressed Kuwait's commitment to supporting IT sector growth and exchanging expertise with Pakistan.
The conference served as a significant step towards strengthening digital ties between Pakistan and Kuwait. With the AI-REAL Toolkit and the commitment of both nations' leaders, the future of digital innovation and collaboration looks promising. As companies from both countries continue to innovate together, the potential for growth in the digital economy is substantial.
