Preparations underway for Christmas, focusing on assembling gifts for impoverished children in Romania!

Preparations are underway for the upcoming Christmas season, with new volunteers set to distribute gifts to underprivileged children in Romania, following a longstanding custom.

In the heart of Neuss, preparations are underway for a heartwarming event that aims to bring joy to those in need during the holiday season. The Christmas Gift Action, an ongoing effort initiated by Wolfgang Kriesemer 30 years ago and now continued by Stefan Hüttermann and his dedicated team, will conclude on Saturday, November 18.

Organized as part of the Christmas Gift Action, the event will take place at the youth facility "Greyhound - Pier 1" (Batteriestraße 1) in Neuss, starting at 11 am. All Neuss residents are invited to attend and celebrate the culmination of this meaningful initiative.

The focus of the event is to celebrate the conclusion of the Christmas Gift Action, an effort that sees the collection of well-filled shoeboxes containing items such as a chocolate bar, cookies, candies, art or school supplies, a small toy, and clothing items like a hat, scarf, and gloves. These gift packages are preferred for the Christmas Gift Action and should be wrapped in Christmas paper and labeled with the age and gender of the child.

The aid organization relies on donations to transport these packages to the west of Romania, where they will bring a much-needed source of joy to those in rural areas, where the need remains great. Donations, both small and large, are kindly asked for the Christmas Gift Action donation account, which can be found on www.rumaenienhilfe.org.

In addition to the celebration, Hüttermann has announced a cake, snacks, and a raffle at the event. The raffle is intended to help cover a part of the transport costs for the Christmas gifts.

The Christmas Gift Action collection period ends on Thursday, November 16, and donors can drop off their gifts at various locations around Neuss. For the most up-to-date information on donation locations, we recommend checking any official announcements, social media pages, or websites related to the campaign.

The aid organization is active throughout the year, but the focus is on the Christmas Gift Action from now until the end of November. You can follow the aid organization's activities on Facebook under "We help children in Romania".

Let's come together to make a difference this holiday season and bring joy to those in need. We hope to see you at the event!
