How did they select these airlines?

The prestigious sky travel ranking website, Skytrax, has named the crème de la crème of the airline industry for 2025, even boasting a few groundbreaking entries.

Following the 2025 World Airline Awards on June 17, it was the passengers' satisfaction ratings that determined the stellar winners and the ones desperately seeking improvement. The surveys polled travelers from September 2024 to September 2025, and out of 325 airlines, 100 were hand-picked as the finest to choose from.

"It's a delight to see so many familiar winners, as well as newcomers on this list," said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax. "The consistency in service quality is indeed recognized by customers when they vote for these airlines."

The Cream of the Crop

Qatar Airways took flight as the airline to touch the skies with for the ninth straight year. The airport to Boarding Pass powerhouse also nabbed titles like World's Best Business Class and World's Best Business Class Airline Lounge, with their Doha Airport Al Mourjan Garden Lounge leaving other lounges in the jet stream.

"We salute Qatar Airways for these achievements that should be a source of immense pride and joy for the management and staff," said Plaisted.

Singapore Airlines soared into second place, garnering awards for World's Best Cabin Crew and World's Best First Class. It offers guests a luxurious 50 square-foot suite, complete with a double bed, a 32-inch TV, and a mouthwatering 12-option gourmet menu.

Coming in third at the starting gate were Cathay Pacific, Emirates, and ANA All Nippon Airways.
