Resilience Frontiers Launches Film Festival at Sundance for Earth-Positive Futures
Resilience Frontiers, a UNFCCC-led initiative, launched a film festival and competition at the Sundance Film Festival. The event invited filmmakers to create films about Earth-positive futures, marking a significant step in engaging younger generations in designing a climate-resilient world.
The initiative, which began in 2019 with its first collective brainstorming event in Songdo, South Korea, is shifting away from traditional problem-solution mindsets. Instead, it focuses on creating climate-resilient futures beyond 2030. At the Sundance event, 100 visionary thinkers and thought leaders gathered to discuss societal transformations driven by emerging technologies and sustainability trends.
Co-created with OnePoint5Media, a special event brochure was produced to commemorate the milestone moment. By 2025, Resilience Frontiers is leading the way in creating climate-resilient futures along eight action-focussed pathways of transformation. Susan Robertson, co-founder of OnePoint5Media and consultant for Resilience Frontiers, is a member of the initiative's Nexus group and chairs the APOPO Foundation UK board.
Resilience Frontiers' film festival and competition at Sundance signal a growing commitment to engaging younger generations in creating a sustainable future. By 2025, the initiative is expected to be at the forefront of climate resilience, driving change through its eight transformation pathways.
