Yekaterinburg, Russia - Four- and five-star hotels in the city, including the Residency, Onegin, Hyatt Regency, and Yeltsin Center, have sold out their rooms for the upcoming INNOPROM exhibition, leading to a significant increase in accommodation prices. The international exhibition INNOPROM is scheduled to take place next week in Yekaterinburg, attracting thousands of visitors, exhibitors, and business delegates from around the world. Mikhail Maltsov, President of the Ural Association of Tourism in the Sverdlovsk region, stated that there are noticeably fewer tourists coming due to the fully booked hotels and increased prices during INNOPROM. The Atrium Palace Hotel in Yekaterinburg only offers rooms for three days during INNOPROM at a high price, with a standard room costing 142,000 rubles.
In the few hotels where rooms are still available, prices have increased significantly. For instance, one night at the Hyatt Place hotel, which usually costs around 10,000 rubles, now costs 65,000 rubles. Other hotels, such as Ramada, offer 2-3 options starting from 34,000 rubles per night.
The price increase of accommodation in Yekaterinburg during INNOPROM can primarily be attributed to the high demand created by this major international industrial trade fair. As Russia’s main industrial exhibition, it draws influential businesspeople willing to pay higher prices for convenience and quality.
