Rebooking on the Next Available Flight

They provide additional coverage for out-of-pocket expenses such as meals, accommodation, or alternative transportation, which may not be fully covered by the airline. Travel agents also offer professional assistance for rebooking or refund claims and navigating disputes, especially during strikes or labor disruptions. They may even facilitate faster refunds, compensation claims, or insurance letters needed for claims.
Filing a Complaint
Passengers who have paid for alternative flights themselves and were not rebooked by Air Canada can file formal reimbursement complaints with the airline. If rejected, escalating to small claims court or civil resolution tribunals is advised, as regulatory complaint backlogs can delay resolutions.
