Ludwigshafen's Epplesee and Streitköpflesee in Linkenheim-Hochstetten are home to sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and diving spots. Keep an eye on the swim season at Streitköpflesee (1st of April to 30th of September).

Epplesee ForchheimThis lake's popularity means it gets crowded, but one thing's for sure — it's worth the visit. To avoid the rush and secure a parking spot, pick up a ticket (€6 online or €7 on-site) from the online portal and park at the P35 parking lot via the B36.

Epplesee has facilities for public toilets, self-service restaurants called "Seegugger" with panoramic views, and kiosks for quick snacks and drinks.

Streitköpflesee in Linkenheim-HochstettenSpend a lovely summer day in this favored spot among Karlsruhe residents. While dogs are not allowed at the lake, a sandy beach, public toilets, and a kiosk make this an ideal spot for kids and even divers during the swim season.

Baggersee Giesen in HochstettenAnglers and swimmers alike find delight at this lake. The northern part of the lake is a fishing reserve, while the southern part offers a swimming area with lawns and sandy beach.

Baggersee GrötzingenIdyllically situated within a woodland area, this lake houses a nudist area, dog beach, and a horse access point, making it perfect for a relaxing day out in nature.

Baggersee Untergrombach "Metzgerallmend"This stunning lake features two large zones for swimming and nature conservation. Dogs are not allowed during the bathing season, so keep Fido at home during your visit. A portable toilet is available on-site for added convenience.

Stutensee-Staffort gravel pit lakeA diver's paradise from April 1 to October 31, this lake features a separate diving entrance and swimming area. Remember that the spawning and biotope area nearby is off-limits. Strict separation of zones is enforced by the public order office.

Blankenloch gravel pit lakeSwimming is permitted only at the north shore, with dogs required to be on a leash all year round and banned near the swimming area during the high season (May to September). No public toilets or kiosks available, but fear not — the "Bistro am See" offers a variety of tasty dishes to enjoy after a dip.

Fermasee gravel pit lake in Rheinstetten-NeuburgweierA nature reserve and peaceful spot for a day out. Parts of the lake are closed to bathers, so remember to keep dogs on a leash and out of the swim area. Paid parking is available on the southern side of the lake.

Weingarten gravel pit lakeGrilling, playing, and swimming are all part of the fun at this ever-popular lake, located just 30 minutes away from Karlsruhe. The lake also boasts public toilets, a restaurant, and a watchful eye from the DLRG during the main season. Plus, dogs are prohibited from May to September. Tickets for a full-day parking cost €10, with a reduced rate after 5 PM.
