TikTok celebrity enlists with an animal rights group for the mission at hand
In a significant move for animal welfare, WeCreate is preparing a nationwide campaign focusing on the dairy industry, scheduled to start in December or January. The campaign will be spearheaded by TikTok influencer Malte Zierden, a well-known animal welfare advocate and author.
The German Animal Welfare Office, a non-profit animal rights organisation, has commissioned this campaign. Known for his daily life videos as an animal protector and rescue missions, Malte Zierden will be the face of the campaign.
The campaign will span various platforms, including spectacular live actions, out-of-home advertising, videos, and social media activities. The involved agency employees are expected to have a serious interest in animal welfare, but it's not a requirement for them to be vegetarian or vegan.
Malte Zierden, with 1.4 million followers on TikTok and around 1 million on Instagram, has proven his influence in the animal welfare community. He is also the author of Spiegel's No.1 bestseller "The Saddest Sky on Earth".
Half a million euros have been allocated for the campaign, and WeCreate plans to decide on the agencies involved in the campaign by October. The awareness campaign is scheduled to run in the first half of 2026.
It's important to note that the German Animal Welfare Association is not involved in the selection of agencies for the campaign, nor are they the commissioners.
This campaign is part of a larger nationwide effort for animal welfare in animal husbandry, aiming to bring about positive changes in the dairy industry. Malte Zierden's involvement is a testament to the power of social media influencers in raising awareness and driving change for a cause close to many hearts.
