Unveiling: A Daring Exploration of the Darker Side of Human Existence and Its Consequences
The RLP Digital Agriculture Conference took place on a day filled with insightful discussions, keynote speeches, panel discussions, and a startup pitch. Here are some of the key moments from the event.
From Public Data to Farm Value: RLP Hackathon Results (17:00 - 17:15)
The conference concluded with a presentation of the results from the RLP Hackathon, where teams transformed public data into valuable insights for the farming industry. Simon Toepfer, Head of Global Marketing Parts & Service at CNH, was among the attendees.
Opening and Keynote Speeches (10:00 - 11:45)
The event was officially opened by Niklas Veltkamp and Hester Somsen. Following the opening, Lars O. Lüke gave a keynote speech titled "Eating on Mars: Spring Innovations for Agriculture of Tomorrow." At 11:30, another keynote was delivered by a guest speaker, focusing on the European Union's agricultural innovations.
Panel Discussions (11:45 - 16:15)
Throughout the day, several panel discussions took place. The first, moderated by Leah Schrimpf, focused on AI Applied in AgriBusiness: Europa im Aufbruch oder Durchbruch? Participants included Prof. Dr. Engel Arkenau, Rainer Strompen, Martha Wenzel, and Andreas Doerr.
The second panel discussion, moderated by Margareta Maier, centred around Digital Nutrient Farming: Opportunities and Challenges for the German Location.
The third panel discussion, moderated by Leah Schrimpf, explored Tablets & Tractor: Future Competencies for Agricultural Education and Training.
Another panel discussion, moderated by Bernd Rauch, focused on Carbon Tracing in the Agri-Food-Chain: How Data Can Create More Climate Transparency in the Supply Chain.
The fourth panel discussion, moderated by Olaf Deininger, discussed Digital First & Once-Only: Ways to a Modern Agricultural Administration.
The fifth panel discussion, moderated by Daniel Janku, featured Daniel Janku, Volker Meisterjahn, and Andy Becht.
Stage Discussions (14:30 - 15:00 and 14:30 - 15:00)
Two stage discussions took place during the event. The first, moderated by Prof. Dr. Jörg Dörr, was titled Data Sharing the European Way: Learning about the EU and Dutch initiatives.
The second stage discussion, moderated by Elena Spolidoro, focused on Impulse & Stage Discussion: Data Sharing the European Way: Learning about the EU and Dutch initiatives.
Startup Pitch and Closing Remarks (16:30 - 17:00)
The event concluded with a startup pitch, where Jakob Hambüchen, Julius Strauss, and Victor Große Macke served as the jury.
Various other speakers and panelists, including Hubertus Paetow, President of DLG, Jannis Hemp, Project Management Innovation & Transfer Smart Farming, Innovationsagentur Rheinland-Palatinate GmbH, Katrin Kuhn, Head of Public Affairs, Raiffeisen NetWorld GmbH, Lorenzo Di Leo, Co-Founder & CEO, Prefiro, and Stefan Müller, Regional Sales Manager, MSD Tiergesundheit, also contributed to the event.
Franziska Kersten, MdB, SPD, and Karl Bär, MdB, Bündnis90/Grüne, were among the political figures present at the conference. Jennifer Godderidge, Founder & CEO, atmo.earth, and Dr. Tavseef Mairaj Shah, Co-Founder & COO, CinSOIL, were also notable participants.
The program for the event was continually updated, and startups participating in the pitch included Volker Meisterjahn, Managing Director, LAND-DATA GmbH, Daniel Janku, Co-Founder & CEO, FarmAct, and Dr. Roland Barth, Friends of Digital Farming & Head of Off-Road Applications, ITK Engineering GmbH.
Lars O. Lüke, Innovationsmanager Agtech/Food, Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovation (SPRIN-D), and Erik Jennewein, Farmer, Klostermühle Agriculture, were also present at the conference.
Registration, Coffee & Networking took place from 9:00, and Lunch & Networking took place from 12:20 to 13:20. The event was a hub of innovation, knowledge sharing, and networking in the digital agriculture sector.
